Honey Cereal Snack Mix – A Nostalgic Snack that the Whole Family Will Love
It was a very cool, breezy, depressing day here in the Midwest. While I should have been out working in the yard (I haven’t even touched the flowerbed yet and it is horrendous), I stayed indoors and decided to spend some time in the kitchen. I recently bought a box of Honeycomb cereal that I had a little idea for, and today was the day for my vision to become a reality. This cereal was going to become the most delicious, sticky, salty, honey cereal snack mix that it could have ever imagined!

My Inspiration
If you’ve known me for longer than five and a half seconds, you probably know that I’m a HUGE fan of the gang from the Hundred Acre Wood. There is a particular donkey that has my heart, but I do love all of the characters. The treat that I’m sharing today seems like something that these creatures would definitely munch on at a get together around a large wooden table during the autumn months, underneath a large oak tree with its colorful leaves gently falling down on them.
Bee Perfect!

I almost forgot that I had picked up this super-cute bee bowl in the store one day! I’ve never seen this exact one again but I found a set that is almost a perfect match! Honey Cereal Snack Mix
Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 300°. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and lighty spray with nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the Honeycomb cereal, mini pretzels, and nuts.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the honey and stir until smooth and bubbly (2-3 minutes.) Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon.
- Pour the warm honey butter mixture over the dry ingredients. Gently toss to coat. It will be sticky but trust the process!
- Spread the mixture on the parchment lined baking sheet in an even layer. Bake approximately 20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Immediately after removing from the oven, give a gentle stir with a spatula to break it up and prevent clumping as it cools. Let the mix cool completely on the tray, stirring occasionally. The mix will crisp up as it cools.
- Once completely cool the mix can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week (I doubt you'll have any left to store though!)

This Treat is Perfect for Any Occasion
Whether you are planning a magical movie night, planning a picnic or party, or just need a little whimsy on a random Sunday, this honey cereal snack mix is the perfect blend of sweet and salty. It is a simple treat that turns an ordinary moment into something a little more enchanted.

Whip up a batch, switch it up and add in your favorite nuts or other ingredients. In fact, you better make two batches. Once you start snacking, it disappears faster than a honey pot around a certain honey-loving bear! For another fun recipe, check out these Tigger Tail-Inspired Pretzel Rods!
