Magical Two-Ingredient Disney-Inspired Chocolate Decorations

Everything tastes better when it is shaped like everyone’s favorite mouse, and making these adorable Disney-inspired chocolate decorations has never been easier! They only require TWO ingredients and a few moments of your time. I’m willing to bet that you even have those two ingredients already in your pantry.

Endless Magical Possibilities

These magical decorations can be utilized in so many ways! They can be used as cupcake toppers or to decorate a cake, place on top of a pudding parfait or an ice cream sundae. I’m also guilty of just eating them like candy right out of the freezer!

Be Transported to Your Happy Place

I put these decorations on top of a summery strawberry & blueberry shortcake with whipped cream. The decoration completely changed the dessert into something that looks like it came right out of the Magic Kingdom. As you sit back to enjoy whatever creation you ended up making, close your eyes for a moment and pretend that you can hear the Dapper Dans singing their signature quartet harmonies just as if you were in the park.

Course: Dessert

Ingredients

  • chocolate chips
  • Nonpareils or sprinkles

Method

  1. Melt some chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth. Stir in between.
  2. On a small plate, pour your sprinkles or nonpareils into an even layer approximately 1/4" deep.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate into a piping bag. (You can just use a sandwich bag – drape it inside a mug so it will be easier to fill. Remove from mug and snip a tiny corner off of the bag.)
  4. Pipe the chocolate into the desired shapes directly onto your plate of sprinkles. (In this case pipe a circle with two smaller circles to resemble a certain mouse that we all love.) Push down slightly so that they will stick to the chocolate.
  5. Place the plate in the freezer for 5-10 minutes until the chocolate is no longer soft.
  6. Gently flip over your decorations and remove from the plate. You can eat them just like candy or add to your favorite dessert – cake, cupcakes, ice cream, strawberry shortcake – the options are endless!
