Disney-Inspired Christmas Rice Krispies Treats Will Bring Home The Magic
A Few of My Favorite Things
Two of my very favorite things are Disney and Christmas. Both are so magical and have the ability to help me to escape from the stress of real life, even if just for a moment. If you COMBINE those two particular things, a Disney Christmas will be the best of your life! If you ever have the chance to visit Walt Disney World near Christmastime, I highly recommend that you do it. Everything is decorated to the max. There are special parties and parades. No matter which park you visit at Christmastime, there are tons of seasonal treats waiting. That is how I got the inspiration for these Mickey-shaped Christmas Rice Krispies Treats.
Chilly Memories
I vividly remember being in Disney Springs on the first day of our vacation. I was wearing a tank top and shorts with the hot, Florida sun beating down on us. Fake snow fell as we walked through Christmas Tree Trail (it is now called the Christmas Tree Stroll.). That was a few years back now, but it was something I’ll never forget. I will also never forget how the rest of that trip was unseasonably cold for Florida and although I packed some long pants and sweatshirts (because I am always so cold!) I actually had to buy layers of clothing in the park to put on because I was so cold. That is how I ended up with a cozy Minnie Mouse hat with flaps that cover my ears.
Celebrity Sighting
This was the same trip where I got to see the Candlelight Processional in Epcot for the first time. The celebrity narrator scheduled for the night we were there was Pat Sajack which made the evening even more exciting. The whole program was as beautiful and magical as I could have imagined. Unfortunately, the thing that I remember most about that show was how cold I was. Afterwards, we stood in line for the Friendship Boat to take us back across the World Showcase Lagoon and I was doing jumping jacks to try to generate some body heat while waiting.

Make it Magical at Home
If you’ve never been to the parks, if you plan on going this Christmas, or even if you go every Christmas, the recipe idea that I’ve shared today is a super-easy treat to make at home. I used the biggest cutter from this 5-piece set that I recently got to make this recipe. You can get yourself a pack here for under $6. What is even under six bucks these days? And you will use them over and over again! (As an Amazon associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.)

Disney-Inspired Christmas Rice Krispies Treats
Ingredients
Method
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
- Add the miniature marshmallows and stir until completely smooth and melted. Remove from heat.
- Add the Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated.
- Use a spatula coated in cooking spray (I use butter flavored spray) to spread into a buttered 13 x 9 pan. Press the mixture evenly and firmly into the pan.
- Cool completely.
- Melt the white and semi-sweet chocolate chips in separate microwave safe bowls in 30 second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Using a Mickey-shaped cookie cutter, cut shapes out of the pan of Rice Krispie treats. Press firmly!
- Partially dip each treat into the chocolate, place on a wire rack with wax paper underneath to catch anything that drips off.
- Using a spoon, drizzle the white chocolate over the treats.
- Decorate with festive M&Ms before the chocolate sets.
- Once the chocolate has hardened up, these can be stored in an airtight container for a couple of days, but they are at their absolute best right after making.
