Halloween Disney-inspired Rice Krispies Treats Are the Ultimate Sweet Treat!
A Gooey Classic Favorite
Tell me I’m wrong. Rice Krispies Treats are basically the best treat out there. Kids love them, adults love them, my dog who gets a minuscule crumb to share with me also loves them. The classic version only takes 3 ingredients and a short amount of time, or they now come already made and individually wrapped. There is absolutely NO downside to this treat, except that the classic version is missing a little bit of magic. That is why I’m sharing with you these Disney-inspired Halloween Rice Krispies Treats (in adorable Mickey shapes!)
The No-Skip Park Treat
When I do make it down to Walt Disney World (which believe me is not as often as I’d like) one of the treats that I HAVE to get is a Mickey-shaped Rice Krispies Treat. The Main Street Confectionery takes care of this for me. If you’ve never been to WDW and you are planning a trip, do NOT miss the Confectionery. I stop by first thing on my way in the park (morning snackie) and on the way out (hotel snackie.). On the last day of my trip (insert sobbing sounds here) I get “a haul” from the Confectionery to last for the drive home. (Yes, we drive from Ohio, so treats are NEEDED.). Candied apples, cotton candy, popcorn bowls, cookies, and yes even Rice Krispies Treats – the sweets are endless. Since I will not be visiting Disney anytime soon (insert louder sobbing here), I am making my own Mickey-shaped Rice Krispies Treats to bring some Disney-inspired magic to Halloween!

If you don’t already have a Mickey-shaped cookie cutter, let me give you an awesome recommendation. Personally, I own two sets of Mickey cutters. The particular set that I used for this recipe (pictured above) has some extra protection on it for your hand since the Rice Krispies Treats are kind of firm when it’s time to cut through them. Trust me, these cutters make it so much easier!
Disney-Inspired Sprinkles
I found these adorable Halloween Sprinkles on Etsy that have Mickey-shapes mixed in them! (I am not affiliated with Etsy, I just love shopping there!). Technically, any Halloween sprinkle will do since they treats themselves are already Mickey-shaped, but I just couldn’t pass these up! Not to worry, the rest of the package will not go to waste! I also used them in some Disney-inspired Halloween Bark which is so easy to make!
Halloween Mickey-Shaped Rice Krispies Treats
Ingredients
Method
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
- Add marshmallows and stir until melted.
- Stir in the cereal until coated.
- Coat a 9 x 13 baking pan with butter or cooking spray. Press the cereal mixture into the pan using a buttered spatula.
- While the treats are still warm, sprinkle Mickey-shaped Halloween sprinkles on top and gently press with your hand to ensure they will stick to the marshmallow. Let it cool completely.
- Using a Mickey-shaped cookie cutter, cut shapes out of the pan of cereal treats.
