Disney-Inspired Halloween Fruit Skewers – Easy, No Bake, and Good For You!
Halloween Twist
Looking for a magical Halloween treat that is easy to make, easy to eat, and just ISN’T candy or fudge? I’ve got you! These Disney-Inspired Halloween Fruit Skewers only require a few ingredients, less than 15 minutes of your time, and they are a healthier alternative to candy – but still very sweet and delicious! Also, because they are Mickey-shaped, they obviously taste better than non-Mickey-shaped food. That is a scientific fact. No question.

These Disney-Inspired HALLOWEEN Fruit Skewers are the perfect break that we all need from the excessive amounts of candy and sweets that we are undoubtedly consuming this time of year! Halloween candy has been in the stores for quite some time now – summer was still in full swing. I know you’ve been eating it, because I’ve been eating it. There is nothing wrong with that. However, a point is reached where the stomach and teeth are just crying for a different kind of sweet snack.
As much as I am in love with “Cozy Autumn” – the warm chai, pumpkin everything, soft blankets – the weather hasn’t cooperated with the vibe. Don’t get me wrong, I’m NOT complaining. I love the heat. It does however, feel more like summer than fall right now which make these fruit skewers even more perfect as we transition into fall.

Halloween Twist
Earlier this year I made fruit skewers for the first time. They were also Mickey-shaped (of course) but they were more “summery”. When I created them I was thinking Fourth of July Parties, summer picnics, etc. Check out that original fruit skewer recipe for additional inspiration! 🫐🍓
This time I wanted them to scream Halloween! You are welcome to use whatever fruits you choose – there are no rules! The classic orange and purple of cantaloupe and grapes just felt right. Whatever fruits you decide to use, just make sure they are sturdy enough to hang onto the skewer. Nobody wants to pick one up and have fruit slip off into their lap. Boo! 👎

Tips for Fruit Skewer Success
First and foremost – I’m going to share with you my favorite set of Mickey-shaped cookie cutters. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is a set of 4 Mouse-shaped cutters from Amazon – and it costs LESS than $6! They are perfect for cutting items that are sturdy (such as melon or Disney-Inspired Rice Krispies Treats) because they don’t hurt your hand when you push down! For this recipe I used the second smallest one in the set (with the pink hand guard.) (As an Amazon Associate I receive a small commission from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you!)
I truly wish I had discovered these cutters sooner. They changed my life. I’m not exaggerating. Look around my blog and see all of the Mickey-shaped things that I make on a regular basis. Just know that there are many more to come, too! I’m having so much fun making Disney-inspired creations at home and sharing them with all of you. 🥹

You’ll want bamboo skewers that are long enough to hold enough fruit to satisfy yet not so long that they are heavy and awkward when picked up. I used these 6″ Bamboo Skewers from Amazon. It comes in a pack of 100. I bought the pack a few months ago when I created the OG fruit skewer recipe and I still had some left so for under $4 it was a worth-while purchase.

Method
- Wash the cantaloupe. Cut it in half, scoop out and discard the seeds, slice it into slabs ~2" wide.
- Using a Mickey-shaped cookie cutter, cut shapes out of the cantaloupe slabs. (A small cutter works best – the one used in this recipe is 1.7" wide.)
- Pluck the grapes from their stems, then wash and dry them.
- Alternate cantaloupe shapes and grapes on the skewers. Gently push them onto the pointed end, being careful of your hand. Leave enough space at the bottom of the skewer to securely hold it while eating.
- Arrange skewers upright in a jar or flat on a tray for easy access and enjoy!
