Ingredients
Method
Lemon Soak
- Mix the lemon juice in water in a medium bowl and set aside.
Prepare the Apples
- Wash and dry the apples.
- Slice apples into rounds 1/4" thick.
- Using a small Mickey-shaped cookie cutter, cut a decorative hole in the center of each slice. (For the inner slices, throw out the shape as it contains seeds/core. For the outer most slices, save the little Mickey-shapes for decoration.) *See "NOTES" below for link to purchase a Mickey-shaped cookie cutter if need be :)
- As you cut them, place each finished apple slice into the bowl of lemon/water to prevent browning.
Arrange the Nachos
- Arrange the apple slices on a platter in overlapping layers.
- Slightly warm the caramel topping in the microwave (10-15 seconds) then drizzle over the apples. (It thins out a bit as it warms - this helps it soak into the apples.)
- Scatter the mini chocolate chips, marshmallows, and sprinkles on top. (Add whatever you'd like - nuts would work great as well!)
- Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave and drizzle on top of the nachos.
- Place the little Mickey-shapes that were cut from the apples on top as a decoration.
- Finish it off with a sprinkle of sea salt. Enjoy your masterpiece!
Notes
If you do not have a Mickey-shaped cookie cutter, I HIGHLY recommend this set of 4 Mouse Cookie Cutters from Amazon. I used the smallest cutter (with the green hand protector) for this recipe. (As an Amazon Associate I receive a small commission for qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.)
I am not affiliated with Etsy in any way but here is the link for the Disney-inspired Halloween sprinkles that I used in this recipe. Any sprinkles will work, though!
